Classical Osteopathy to treat headaches
No need for unnecessary headaches
Everyone experiences headaches occasionally. But did you know that headaches can be a symptom of poor spinal balance? Our expert team can help to assess your headaches and provide the right treatment for you.
What is a cervicogenic headache?
Although not as common as a migraine or a tension headache, a cervicogenic headache (also known as a neck headache) can affect one in 25 people. This type of headache means you can feel a dull pain or ache in your head, and your neck movements may be restricted.
Cervicogenic headaches don’t actually come from typical sources of headaches – such as eye strain or stress. They are actually caused by tension or compression in your neck and upper back, which can then restrict blood supply to your head. This can lead to a throbbing headache or dull ache from stress tension and restricted mobility.
How can Tunbridge Wells Osteopaths help your headaches?
Painkillers may help a one-off headache, but won’t address the cause of your chronic headaches. Osteopathy specifically looks for the root cause of why these headaches occur in the first place.
At Tunbridge Wells Osteopaths, we will look at your full medical history, investigating factors such as diet, stress, and chemical/hormonal imbalances that may be causing your headaches.
