Acupuncture – Eleanor Henderson

Eleanor Henderson is a fully qualified, licensed acupuncturist with a BSc Hons degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a member of The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). She began her training at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and completed the degree at the University of East London with a First Class degree. She also holds a Diploma in Clinical Practice of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Centre, China after working in two hospitals there.

Alongside her work in acupuncture, Eleanor is also a qualified massage therapist, specialising in sports massage, pregnancy massage and lymphatic drainage massage. She has therefore an extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and western medicine and therefore understands how conventional treatments can be complemented by acupuncture.

Eleanor has a general interest in women’s health and treats from pre- conception right through to post-natal care and beyond. Acupuncture has been shown to reduce stress response and anxiety and this in turn may lead to a better hormone balance.
